Clarifying How Licensing Works

Before you download a pack, it helps to know what the license covers and what it does not. This section explains the terms behind our royalty-free catalog, the difference between personal and commercial use, and how attribution works when you publish a project.

Support Questions, Straight Answers

Before you write to us, check the common questions below. Most licensing, download, and preview issues are covered here. If your question is not listed, the contact page has the fastest route to a real person.

What exactly does the standard license cover?

The standard license allows you to use any downloaded track or sound effect in commercial projects such as videos, podcasts, games, and films. You do not need to credit AllOfSounds, though attribution is appreciated. The license does not cover reselling the audio as a standalone product or using it in a template that others will purchase.

Can I preview a track before downloading it?

Yes. Every item in the catalog has an in-browser preview player. You can listen to the full track or a 30-second excerpt depending on the pack. Previewing does not require an account, but downloading does. This lets you check the mood, tempo, and mix before committing to a pack.

How do I download a pack I have purchased?

After checkout, you will see a download button on the confirmation page and in your account dashboard. Each pack is delivered as a ZIP file containing WAV stems, a PDF with track details, and a license document. Downloads remain available for 30 days, so save the files to your own storage after purchase.

Are the sound effects truly royalty-free?

Yes. All assets in the library are cleared for royalty-free use. That means you pay once and use the audio in as many projects as you like, without paying ongoing fees. The only restriction is that you cannot redistribute the raw files or include them in a competing audio library.

What file formats are included in each pack?

Most packs include 24-bit WAV files at 48 kHz, which work well for video and game production. Some collections also include MP3 versions for quick previews and lighter projects. The exact format list is shown on each pack page before you buy.

Can I request a custom sound design pack?

Yes. If you need a specific set of textures, ambiences, or effects for a project, use the contact page to describe what you are looking for. We can build a custom collection based on your brief, timeline, and budget. Custom packs are quoted individually.
